Monitoring + Voice API
How does is work?
Within the Monitoring service we can create different levels of notification templates, each containing Email or SMS or Voice instructions. Lets use Level1, 2 & 3 for this example. Each sensor or device is set to use one of these Levels along with state triggers.
Lets use the example you’re away from the office traveling for business and a critical system goes offline.
Email Alerts fire off first followed by TextMeAlert API after 2 minutes. You missed both and at 6 minutes CallMeAlert API triggers and calls your number twice but both attempts went to voicemail. Luckily your voice workflow includes a secondary escalation contact number and they answered the call and was given the information needed to know where to get start. The entire process took no more than 10 minutes.
